Gegevens van de GPS-antenne, gecombineerd met gegevens uit het Bridgescout\u00ae-kaartsysteem, zorgen ervoor dat het systeem weet wanneer de Bridgescout\u00ae-sensor moet beginnen met scannen, om onnodige alarmen te voorkomen. Het Bridgescout\u00ae-kaartsysteem is een database van objecten die door alle systemen worden gebruikt en ontwikkeld zijn door Sensor Maritime. Het Bridgescout\u00ae-systeem controleert dagelijks of de nieuwste versie van het Bridgescout\u00ae-kaartsysteem wordt gebruikt.<\/p><p>Door middel van afstands- en hoekmetingen wordt berekend of er voldoende ruimte is om een object te passeren. De Bridgescout\u00ae-sensor omvat onder andere een laserafstandssensor die met behulp van een hellingssensor rond de waterlijn scant. Dit betekent dat het systeem ongevoelig is voor de trim van het schip, bijvoorbeeld wanneer het schip leeg is met ballast in het achterschip. Bovendien is Bridgescout\u00ae niet afhankelijk van omgevingsfactoren zoals objecthoogten of waterstanden; het voert een realtime scan uit. De lasersensor is van klasse 1, wat te allen tijde veiligheid garandeert - beoordeeld en bevestigd door een onafhankelijke instelling.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-5723\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Vanuit de stuurhut<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-5723\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-5723\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p>Wanneer de Bridgescout\u00ae-sensor niet scant, staat de Sensor Maritime-hub, het paneel in het stuurhuis, in stand-bymodus, met het scherm zwart. De kapitein weet dat het systeem actief is op basis van de schermbeveiliging op het paneel.<\/p><p>Vanaf 500 meter tot een object licht het paneel in het stuurhuis op, waarbij het scherm groen wordt. De kapitein ziet de naam van het object, de afstand tot het object en de tijd tot het object op het paneel. Bridgescout\u00ae waarschuwt de kapitein voor een naderend object en begint met scannen; alertheid is een cruciaal onderdeel van het voorkomen van aanvaringen.<\/p><p>Vanaf 300 meter tot een object kan Bridgescout\u00ae een alarm genereren. Als het stuurhuis te hoog is of er onvoldoende ruimte is, wordt de kapitein op de hoogte gebracht van een potentieel aanvaringsrisico. Dit alarm wordt weergegeven op het paneel in het stuurhuis met een rood scherm. Naast het alarm zijn de naam van het object, de afstand tot het object en de tijd tot het object zichtbaar. Vanaf 100 seconden tot een object kan naast een zoemer ook een gesproken alarm worden gehoord: \"stuurhuis te hoog\". Dit stelt de kapitein in staat om het stuurhuis op tijd te verlagen. Wanneer het alarm wordt gehoord, kan de kapitein dit bevestigen via het paneel. Op deze manier weet het systeem dat de kapitein het alarm heeft erkend en wordt het akoestische alarm gedempt.<\/p><p>Wanneer het stuurhuis veilig onder het object doorvaart, gaat het paneel in het stuurhuis automatisch over in stand-bymodus, waarbij het scherm zwart wordt. Op deze manier vereist Bridgescout\u00ae niet langer de aandacht van de
