Seit 2013 arbeitet er in der Binnenschifffahrt, nachdem er zuvor als Fischer t\u00e4tig war. \u201eIch musste eigentlich noch nie eine Brotdose mit zur Arbeit nehmen\u201c, sagt er mit einem Augenzwinkern. Seit drei Jahren f\u00e4hrt er auf der MTS Luuk, einem Schiff, das bereits seit 2017 mit Bridgescout\u00ae ausgestattet ist. \u201eAuf manchen Strecken hat man nur drei\u00dfig Zentimeter Spielraum. Dann m\u00f6chte man wissen, woran man ist.\u201c<\/strong><\/p><p>Auf der Luuk ist das System noch mittschiffs montiert. Nicht ideal, gibt Wiebe zu: \u201eEs misst immer den vorderen Mast, dadurch gibt es manchmal einen Fehlalarm. Man sieht nichts, aber das System warnt trotzdem.\u201c Dennoch bleibt er positiv. \u201eNat\u00fcrlich hilft es. Das System zeigt an, ob man \u00fcberhaupt unter der Br\u00fccke durchkommt oder nicht.\u201c<\/p><p>Bridgescout\u00ae bietet ihm vor allem zus\u00e4tzliche Sicherheit bei Br\u00fcckendurchfahrten. \u201eAuf manchen Strecken hat man nur drei\u00dfig Zentimeter Spielraum. Dann m\u00f6chte man wissen, was einen erwartet. Das System zeigt das sauber an, auch wenn man sich letztendlich immer auf sich selbst verl\u00e4sst.\u201c<\/p><p><strong>Benutzerfreundlich und unkompliziert<\/strong><\/p><p>Das System ist laut Wiebe einfach zu bedienen: \u201eEs gibt drei Kn\u00f6pfe. Rot bedeutet aufpassen, Gr\u00fcn bedeutet gut. Das versteht jeder.\u201c Auch neue Kollegen finden sich schnell zurecht. \u201eDaf\u00fcr braucht man keinen Computerkurs. Das erkl\u00e4rt sich von selbst.\u201c<\/p><p>Zuvor fuhr Wiebe auf der Birjo, wo der Bridgescout\u00ae seitlich montiert ist. \u201eDas funktioniert etwas besser, da er nicht vom Mast blockiert wird.\u201c Trotz der ung\u00fcnstigeren Position auf der Luuk sieht er das System weiterhin als wertvoll an. \u201eBei Nebel oder Schnee sieht man manchmal Dinge, die gar nicht da sind. Es bleibt Technik. Es ist und bleibt ein Hilfsmittel. Kein Ersatz f\u00fcr die eigenen Augen, aber etwas, das helfen kann, Fehler zu vermeiden.\u201c Mit der Luuk f\u00e4hrt er auf unterschiedlichsten Routen \u2013 vom Rhein \u00fcber die Maas bis zur Elbe \u2013 und begegnet dabei regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Br\u00fccken mit wenig Spielraum. \u201eDa ist es gut, ein System an Bord zu haben, das mit einem mitdenkt.\u201c<\/p><p><strong>\u00dcber die MTS Luuk<\/strong><\/p><p>Die Luuk geh\u00f6rt zur Flotte von RT Lloyd aus Werkendam und f\u00e4hrt f\u00fcr den Befrachter ANACO.
