FLIR M364C ABOARD SAILING YACHT

FLIR Marine is already well-known and a market-leading organization within commercial shipping, but more and more in pleasure craft.

Recently, Sensor Maritime completed a FLIR Marine project for a 72 ft sailing yacht. Added value for the owner? Navigating and safely crossing busy(er) waterways with limited visibility, but also as an aid for detecting objects and other ships and entering ports. By creating a sharp image, the user has the advantage of being able to oversee situations in a timely manner. While regular navigation and safety systems provide insight and warn the user, a thermal imaging camera enables the user to see the situation on their MFD.

Integrating a FLIR M300 thermal imaging camera is not only possible with Raymarine equipment. Recently it has become possible to easily integrate modern third-party equipment through IP into your onboard network by using a network switch as well. During this installation it was about two B&G plotters from Navico. Intensive installations with coax cables through the mast are a thing of the past.
