Jeder ist mit Brückenkollisionen und deren Folgen vertraut. Zunächst einmal bemerken die Passagiere eine Kollision oft sofort. Das Schiff hält sofort an und/oder es sind (laute) Geräusche zu hören. Wenn das Steuerhaus durch die Kollision vollständig zerstört wird, muss das Schiff zur Inspektion in eine Werft geschleppt werden. Die (externen) Rettungsdienste organisieren eine Rettungsaktion für die Menschen an Bord. Alle werden evakuiert.
BRIDGESCOUT® AN BORD DES CONTAINERSCHIFFS "POLYBOTES"
Im Frühjahr 2021 erhielten wir einen Anruf von Patrick Verheyen. Verheyen ist Kapitän und Miteigentümer des Containerschiffs "POLYBOTES". In der Vergangenheit diente die POLYBOTES" als RoRo-Schiff, aber in diesem Frühjahr wurde das Schiff zu einem Mündungscontainerschiff umgerüstet.
