Ready for upcoming inclinometer requirements

As of 1 January 2026, container vessels are required to carry an electronic inclinometer on board, enabling accurate measurement of a ship’s roll angle during storm conditions. This follows recommendations from international maritime safety investigations aimed at reducing container loss incidents and improving fleet safety across the industry.

Satellite is already equipped to support this: it can accurately measure a vessel’s roll angle, as well as the accelerations and forces acting on the ship, and make this data directly available through your dashboard or application. This makes Satellite a proven, ready-to-deploy solution for operators looking to stay ahead of the new requirement, rather than starting from scratch.
